A Monthly Creative Testing Calendar for Dealership Ad Campaigns
Every dealership campaign follows the same curve. Great for two weeks, decent for two more, then costs climb and nobody knows why. The cause is almost never targeting. It is fatigue.
Fatigue is a production problem with a production solution: a calendar.
The quick answer
Produce three to five new creatives per month, launch them in a staggered schedule rather than all at once, test one variable at a time (hook, offer, format, or vehicle), retire creatives when frequency climbs and hook rate drops, and re-shoot winners as variations instead of chasing entirely new ideas. Consistency of output beats brilliance of any single ad.
What fatigue actually looks like in the data
- Frequency rising while reach flattens
- Hook rate declining week over week on a previously strong ad
- Cost per conversation climbing while cost per impression stays flat
- Comment quality degrading, more noise and fewer real questions
When you see this pattern, the answer is not more budget or a new audience. It is new creative.
The monthly rhythm
Week 1: shoot
One production session on the lot covering three to five concepts. Vertical phone video, real staff and real inventory, Spanish subtitles. Batch shooting is what makes this sustainable; one-off shoots never survive a busy month.
Week 2: launch and isolate
Launch two new creatives against the current control. Change one variable per test. If you change hook and offer simultaneously you learn nothing from the result.
Week 3: cut and scale
Kill anything below the control on hook rate and cost per conversation. Move budget to winners. Launch the remaining new creatives into the freed-up spend.
Week 4: harvest and plan
Take the month's winning hook and produce three variations of it for next month: different speaker, different vehicle, different setting. Winners are templates, not one-offs. Plan next month's concepts from what the comments and BDC conversations actually revealed.
The four variables worth testing
- Hook: the first two seconds, the single highest-leverage variable
- Offer: credit approval, down payment, trade payoff, monthly special
- Format: talking head, walkaround, customer testimonial, static with text
- Subject: which vehicle or segment leads the ad
Where the ideas come from
The best creative source in the building is not the marketing team, it is the BDC transcript. Every objection a setter answers ten times a week is a hook waiting to be shot. Every question that comes up in WhatsApp threads is an ad. Reading conversations weekly turns creative planning from guesswork into transcription.
Why volume beats perfection
You cannot predict winners. Neither can we, and we have run thousands of these. What you can control is how many quality attempts hit the platform each month and how fast you cut the losers. Stores that ship five decent creatives a month consistently outperform stores that ship one polished creative a quarter, every time.
How Hispanic Drive helps
Hispanic Drive runs monthly creative production and testing for dealerships as a managed channel. We build the Spanish creative, run the Meta and WhatsApp campaigns, staff the bilingual BDC that answers every lead, qualify the buyer, book the appointment, confirm it, and follow up after the visit. Your team does what it already does well: sell cars to the people who walk in.
We work with one dealership per market. If the Hispanic buyer in your city is currently going somewhere else, a strategy call is the fastest way to find out what that is costing you every month.
Book a strategy call
We map the Hispanic opportunity in your market, show you what the channel would look like at your store, and tell you honestly if it is not a fit.
